Taigh Tuaram
Cottage website with booking, experiences, and Highland editorial character.
The problem
The cottage was let through a listing site that took a commission on every booking and presented it like any other property. The owners wanted full control over how their offer was put across, and they wanted guests to see that a stay comes with a personal welcome rather than a transaction.
The result
A site the owners control completely, with booking and payment taken directly through Stripe. They write the copy and choose the images in a content console, so the welcome a guest reads is their own. A dashboard shows how guests move through the site.
Taigh Tuaram, in brief
Taigh Tuaram is a Django website for a Highland cottage, built in close collaboration with the owners to get the look and tone right, matching how they wanted the place to feel. It keeps an editorial, Highland character across stay information, local experiences, and availability-led booking, and foregrounds the owners' personal, hands-on approach to hosting guests. Bookings run end to end, with payment handled securely through Stripe.
Behind the public pages sits a content console the owners use to edit copy and imagery themselves, alongside a dashboard that gives an at-a-glance overview and tracks how guests move through the site. Error reporting flags any issues straight to the developer, so problems can be caught and fixed before they reach a guest.
